Ochodzita Mountain has a unique microclimate, with autumn still in the surrounding lower-lying towns, and at an altitude of 895 meters above sea level, the mornings are already welcoming winter. It's a beautiful, distinctive sight when you reach Koniakow and see the white Ochodzita Mountain in the distance, dominating the still autumn flora on the surrounding hills and slopes.
what to do in montiniduring winter?
Walk to the Tripoint, where the borders of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia meet. This is an easy, approximately one-hour hike, perfect for families. It can be done on foot or by bike (cross/trekking routes).
A walk through the Beskid Three Villages – Istebna, Jaworzynka, Koniakow – bordered by 170-year-old spruces, considered by Swedish geneticists to be the most beautiful trees in the world. During the walk, you can also observe capercaillies – endangered birds bred by the local forestry district.
Skiing on the nearby Trójwieś slopes, for both beginners and advanced skiers. Zloty Gron and Zagron are visible from Ochodzita, so Montini is only a 5-10-minute drive away.
